Pricing
How is my Columbus price calculated?
Your photo is matched against our published Columbus catalog, item by item. Bigger jobs are also priced by how much of the truck they fill, and you see a single total before you book.
What’s the smallest job you’ll take?
The minimum order is $75, which one sofa ($126) or one twin mattress ($82) already covers.
Do basement stairs or a third-floor walk-up raise the price?
No. The carry is included whether the item is in the garage, the basement or the top floor.
Is today’s pickup priced differently?
No. A same-day window, when one is open, costs the same as booking for later.
When does a truck-fill price make more sense?
For basements, garages and whole units. Truck-fill starts at $241 for a quarter of the truck and reaches $732 for all sixteen cubic yards, and the lower of the two totals is what you pay.
Booking and Pickup Day
How far ahead should I book?
A day or two is usually plenty. Late July near campus and spring cleanout season fill up faster.
Does someone have to be home?
No. Leave items in an unlocked garage or share an entry code, and you’ll get photos once the crew finishes.
Who are the crews?
Vetted local hauling crews that work through JunkRabbit. Booking and payment run through JunkRabbit, while the crew handles the truck and the heavy lifting.
What if it snows on my pickup day?
If ice makes the roads or your outside steps unsafe, we’ll work out a new window with you.
What We Haul
Will you take items the City refuses?
Yes — refrigerators ($164), dehumidifiers ($77), furnaces ($131), upright pianos ($290), hot tubs ($322) and pool tables ($603), all on the City’s excluded list.
Do you accept leftover paint?
Yes, priced separately for the handling: $30 for a one-gallon can and $52 for a five-gallon bucket.
Where does everything go?
Usable furniture is set aside for donation, refrigerant appliances go to certified recovery, electronics go to recyclers, and the rest goes to SWACO disposal sites.
Do you take yard waste?
Yes, by the cubic yard at $88.
City and Suburb Rules
What does City of Columbus bulk pickup require?
A 311 appointment, items out no more than 72 hours ahead, an occupied home, and mattresses or upholstered furniture sealed completely in plastic. Move-out and house-cleanout bulk isn’t eligible. See the full breakdown.
Do suburbs follow the same rules as the City?
No. Suburbs like Dublin, Westerville and Upper Arlington contract their own trash haulers and set their own bulk rules, so check with your city.
How far out do you go?
About 30 miles from the Statehouse plus all of Franklin County — Delaware, Lancaster, Circleville, Marysville, London, Granville and everything between. The area list has the details.
